Title: Misstaken identity
Post by: 2Nutz on June 15, 2009, 07:19:31 PM

A man was being tailgated by a stressed out woman on a busy boulevard. Suddenly, the light turned yellow, just in front of him. He did the right thing, stopping at the crosswalk, even though he could have beaten the red light by accelerating through the intersection.

The tailgating woman was furious and honked her horn, screaming in frustration, as she missed her chance to get through the intersection, dropping her cell phone and makeup.

As she was still in mid-rant, she heard a tap on her window and looked up into the face of a very serious police officer. The officer ordered her to exit her car with her hands up.

He took her to the police station where she was searched, fingerprinted, photographed and placed in a holding cell. After a couple of hours, a policeman approached the cell and opened the door. She was escorted back to the booking desk where the arresting officer was waiting with her personal effects.

He said,

'I'm very sorry for this mistake.
You see, I pulled up behind your car while you were blowing your horn,
flipping off the guy in front of you and cussing a blue streak at him.'
I noticed the 'What Would Jesus Do' bumper sticker,
the 'Choose Life' license plate holder,
the 'Follow Me to Sunday-School' bumper sticker
and the chrome-plated Christian fish emblem on the trunk; naturally...
I assumed you had stolen the car.'

Priceless

I swear this is a TRUE story.

Going through a suburban neighborhood one afternoon a Lexus comes flying out of a driveway and almost makes me run into a car going in the other direction.

The car flys off at close to 55mph in a 15mph zone.

Run's a stop sign, pulls onto a four lane, going around 65mph in a 45mph zone.

Goes two blocks, cuts across traffic turning left without stopping or using their blinkers into a parking lot and stops in front of a beauty parlor.

I've been behind this car since it almost hit me and have had my siren and lights on the whole time.

The  woman acts as if I'm not there at first and seems to be incensed that I followed her to her beauty appointment(she NEEDED IT too).

After I tell her all the things she did, she tells me that she's the local president of "Mother's Against Drunk Driving" and I CAN'T GIVE HER A TICKET.

AFTER I arrested her, took her to jail, impounded her car, and she made bond and showed up to court, she proceeded to tell the judge that HE CAN'T find her guilty because of her status with Mother's Against Drunk Driving.(she had her lawyer with her, but she did all the talking)

AFTER she was found guilty, had her license suspended for 6 months, required to attend and pass an anger management class and remidial drivng course AND pay all court costs. She was "retired" from her position as president of Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

A little FREE legal advise. NEVER tell a cop he CAN'T arrest you. NEVER tell a judge he CAN'T find you guilty.

I swear this really happened too!

Needs to happen more often! :knuppel2

I pulled over a woman buzzing through our campground one evening at a pretty good clip.  The speed limit was 10 and she was doing well above that.  Once she finally pulled over, I was just going to ask her to slow down (felt generous that day).  I walked up to the side of the car and she proceeded to give me a piece of her mind for pulling her over. ;D  Bad mistake! O0

I stopped short of arresting her because she had a kid in the car with her, but I wrote her for everything I could think of, the main one being Reckless Driving.  When she went to court, she kept trying to get out of the stuff, but the judge would have none of it! O0  He let her off easy though and let her go to traffic school, in addition to giving her the maximum fines on everything else, plus the court costs. O0 ;D
