BUMMER you could have HAD it we tossed it in the trash, that went out this morning. I don't get out a lot for Blue grouse but if I do I will save it for you and let you know. I'll bet we could UPS it.

Any of those birds that you get out there, save the tails off of them for me if you would. O0  Cut it off where it's got plenty of feathers around the base if you can.  Just stick them in the freezer in a baggie until you get a few and then I'll pay for the shipping. O0

Thanks man! :)

You got it!! Grouse,Partridge, and pheasants? I keep the turkey.
What do you do with them,Tie flys ??

Yeah, any of the smaller birds like that.  We don't have them critters around here.  The wife uses different feathers when she makes dream catchers every now and then.  Other than that, you can fan them out like a turkey and mount them. O0  They're pretty cool looking and not something that very many people have. O0

I wish I would have known about the feather deal, BC. I could have send ya a lot of feathers from road kill turkeys. You can use some turkey feathers?

Nah, I can get turkey feathers.  That is unless you can come up with some Osceola, Rio Grande, Merriam's, Gould's, or Ocellated turkey feathers.

Turkeys are just like Indians, they all look alike to me.   ;D I don't know what species we have here for sure, even given the excellent map you posted. It looks like we have two, Eastern and Gould's.
Is there much noticable difference between the two?

You would have the Eastern around you.  Goulds are down into Mexico.

As for the differences............

:D Even with the pictures they all look the same ...Cept the last one he's odd.
Jen come on up you could fit right in.!

The main differences are in the feathers on the back and the tail.  Notice how "white" some are and others are kind of cream colored. O0
