Georgia: Senate proposal would end ban on suppressors for hunting firearms

A Georgia Senate proposal would end the ban on silencers for hunting firearms. Senate Bill 301 is sponsored by Sen. John Bulloch, who says allowing hunters to use silencers would keep them from disturbing their neighbors. The Ochlocknee Republican says hunters would still have to have a federal permit to possess a silencer and argues this does not create an unfair advantage for hunters.

I'm hopeful for this to pass. Mayhaps one day using a suppressor will be legal in Utah. Only then would I consider buying one. O0

I sure hope that law gets passed. It would be great if all the other states would do the same.
Since other countries allow them for hunting, one would think the USA would loosen up.

Our new CCW law has been exposing some quirks not considered when the law was written. Our pistol packing LEOs have to buy a yearly $20 buy permit to purchase pistols.  Anyone else with just a common CCW permit doesn't have to purchase a buy permit to purchase a pistol.  All they have to do is show their CCW permit at the counter.

Needless to say, law officers in Iowa are not happy.  :tickedoff
