Title: Better then a neck Gaiter ?
Post by: D45/70 on December 15, 2016, 01:25:00 PM
There kinda like a casket from your parka to tour face mask. But most of them make my glasses fog and feel like I'm choking.
I can do that shooting coyotes my self , don't need a Gaiter doing it for me.
I looked around in town and found a White silk Neckerchief That's about 36" sq. Works great so far.
I can pull it up to my nose or use it lose around my neck.
I think it is just what I have been looking for.
I guess them old cowboys knew what they where doing.
Silk is like wool only soft, just cant beat natural fibers.
 PS
I have several sets of Longie's made of silk and some of wool, WONDERFUL.
( Very reluctant to call them silk under pants )

Ok, I'll give a pass on the silk Undies jokes, but I can't guarantee Others will. The sharp stick has been gathering dust lately.
I have a wool scarf I use for just that purpose. As you said, it's great ! Fully adjustable with enough air flow to prevent fogging of glasses and such. I wouldn't mind going all natural fiber but it gets too expensive for my blood, not to mention a bit itchy. Not sure about silk though.

I have heard silk is super warm and always wondered just how warm is really is.

I have a few articles of wool clothing that are warm.
