Title: Everybody Doing Okay?
Post by: bohicajuan on June 05, 2017, 04:44:16 PM
Been kind of busy and haven't been able to stop by like I want, but I'm still here and taking it day  by day. Did a little trout fishing on Saturday and some bass fishing on Sunday. Caught a few but nothing worth bragging about and tossed them all back because I wasn't in a fish eating mood!

I'm sure BC is home at his palatial estate and making millions of dollars so he can buy us all new guns and stuff before fall gets here!

Everybody stay frosty and we'll see y'all later! O0 O0

Glad you found your way back, Bo ! Everytime I here about bad things going down in your neck of the woods, I pray for you and the brothers in blue. Started to get a bit worried

Hey! How y'all doing? Not much going on here, still working and have been fishing only 1 time this year. I didn't have much luck but might get out this coming weekend, early in the morning. I was bank fishing because my old boat motor needs a tune-up. Our rivers have been flooded most of the year.

I now work day shift, 4 10 hour shifts with 3 day weekends off. 25 or so years on afternoon and night patrol finally got to me so I joined the day loafers, LOL!

.17WSM Savage BMAG worked good on the squirrels and a few rabbits last season, as well as worked good for a coyote and 2 cats. Hunting season opens about Sept. 1 or so. I use mostly 20gr fodder.

I got another knife done and will ship it out this week, a small game hunting knife.

Crap Windows 10 update screwed my pc, still can't get into my email. I sent them a spontaneous combustion message on their facebook site.

You can also reach me on facebook, John Andrews, Burlington, Iowa.

That's good news, fuzzy!

Lots of honey-do work here at home, deck rebuild, yard work, a little painting, etc.

Has been really hot, in the 90's. Am still working the 10 hour day job and hitting it early in the mornings at home and shop on weekends. I just finished a small game hunting knife that's getting mailed, is going to Illinois.

Our rivers have been above flood stage and has screwed up fishing. Rivers levels are now finally dropping. We have drownings here in the Mississippi River because some people fail to recognize the dangers.

Bo, that lady wearing assless chaps called again. She is obsessed with finding you. ;)

Guys are quitting left and right because they're tired of being walking human targets, and the pos media and politicians get sexually excited every time a cop is killed or wounded. Over 100 officers short and it's going to get worse before it gets better. No support from your high ups who only care about their careers and would throw their own mothers under the bus if it could give them more power. >:( :tickedoff

Outstanding! O0 Stop by and vent or gripe when ticked off, and stop by to toot your horn when you feel good. It's cathartic! O0

I love your knives! O0

Ruger just came out with a 1911 in 10mm and I am having a nervous breakdown wanting to get one. I'm already being told there is a waiting list and I'm sure the mark up will be huge and it might be two or three years before I can get one! :tickedoff :tickedoff >:(

Speaking of assless chaps....

I tried to get some time off approved so I could head down to the Florida Keys and do some SCUBA diving and tarpon, bonefish and permit fishing in the flats during the day......and chasing the assless chaps, and thongs at night. But! We're so damned short that I can't get any time approved.

In fact we had our off days cancelled and I had to work 12 hour shifts this weekend, because the homos were having one of their festivals. I saw assless chaps but they were worn by tootie-fruitie fags, and it was disgusting. Over 30,000 were here. Any doubt we're living in a sewer, just go to a gay pride festival and you'll see for yourself! :idiot2 :knuppel2 :tickedoff

There might be somethings more disgusting than fat, balding 50 year old men walking around in 90 degree heat with their leather crap and sweating and stinking. Their junk hanging out for all the world to see; there might be something more disgusting, but I haven't seen it! :tickedoff  :knuppel2

 Yeah on disgusting, bo! They must have dredged Atlanta's sewers!   :crazy2 :uglystupid2 :knuppel2 :tickedoff

That filthy affair certainly killed your weekend and trip, too!  >:(  :knuppel2

I recently went to Miracle Ear and got hearing aids for both ears. What a difference! I realize what I have been missing for years and can now hear like a bat.  Squirrels won't have a chance!  :knuppel2  :buck2

I been working on my back deck, tore it off and did some concrete post work. We all know how much fun that is.

Fishing and shop time took a back seat for the weekend. I hope I get that dang deck done soon.

This week at work we have 2 holidays and one safety day off during our normal 4th of July week installation shutdown, but I chose to work.  Extra pay and a day added to my vacation is too much to ignore for working this week. I am on a 4 10 hour patrol shift per week with 3 day weekends.

Our hunting season opens Sept. 2 and all is ready.

I have the deck framed and posts installed. The easy work will start this coming weekend.  :)

7 weeks until hunting season!

Waterbuging

Still working.
I went as far s I can on the boat port for a wail.
I did not go calling and the lawn did not need to be messed with.
Water bug time.
My buddy and I welded up some of the motor platform but did no get it welded to the boat.
I added some Pillars to disperse the weight , not welded in yet. I used a hole saw and cut the Sq tubing and drove it in , should hold better then just welded to the out side.

A VW motor mounts only to the transaxle so no actual motor mounts. I mane one . the motor will set on it and I'll bolt it on with the 2 studs on the front of the motor under the front pulley.

Then I plan on having a heave "L" bracket from the trany bell housing mount holes to the front of the motor mount.

The oil sump is in the very bottom of the case I had to cut a hole to change the oil.

Now I need more welding...

Looking good D. Sure glad you thought about that oil drain, that's the kind of thing I might have overlooked. Sure would be a pain to pull the motor just to change the oil.

Yeah on that! If left unchanged, I would think some vehicle engineer designed it.

The old bug motors have no oil filter.
They only hold 2 1/2 Gt of oil too.
Most did not have a temp gage either, you went by smell...

Thank you for the kind words, bo!

Yeah, world is crazy and more dangerous than ever. We are always short in our Dept. too.  :tickedoff Off duty, I don't even mow the lawn without carrying.

I had a ride along last week, one of our new still on probation DOD cops. I was teaching him our patrols, etc. He was astounded concerning all the wildlife we had to stop for on the roads. He was like a kid in a candy store.  ;D

The other day where I normally get my haircuts, the owner let me know she wants no guns in her shop. Yes, where I USED to get my hair cut.  :uglystupid2  :tickedoff  Her nice employee that used to cut my hair is going to miss her $5 tip.

I have my new back deck framed and this weekend I hope to finish it. And, get in some shop time plus help an old pal clean up his place after a bad storm. Fishing is taking a backseat.

That certain assless chap gal should get you that great new 10mm pistol for Christmas, bo!  O0

At 11:10 last night I spotted a large bobcat in my back yard, probably a tom. I watched it for some time through my back storm door screen as it hunted. It was only about 5 and 10 yards distance. I now have a pretty good idea where our neighborhood rabbits have gone.

I spotted the cat last week at about 50 yards distance, after dark. It crossed the street and was headed for the bluff.

The cat must be living close, just over the river bluff by our house.

I have been building a new deck out back on my days off, has been kicking my butt. I have two more weekends to get er done before hunting season opens. Only went fishing twice this year, is a disgrace.

On the upside, all is ready for Sept. 2 hunting season.

Looks like he has staked out your neck of the woods because of the good vittles he can pick up! O0 It's amazing how close they can live to people and you only rarely see them. I wish I had been that stealthy back in my army days! I might not have been shot at as much! :D ;D :'( :buck2

Is there a bobcat season in Iowa? I bet with that cold weather up there those cats must get some really nice pelts!

I agree, getting shot at has not been enjoyable. Getting shot has been not enjoyable, either. :tickedoff

The only bobcat season is open only to trappers in Iowa. They should be treated as varmints like in most states. If I catch that cat in the fenced off part of my yard, it will get varmint classed.  :knuppel2 Wife and I have 3 small dogs we are very fond of and they have the fenced in part of the yard.

Brother I'm with you! Bullets and shrapnel have a hell of  way of putting a damper on your day! :'( :buck2

We have a bobcat hunting and trapping season here. I shot one many moons ago that I had mounted walking across a log. It weighed close to 30 pounds which is big for cats here. 15 to 20 is about normal. I'm scared to think how much a taxidermist would charge me now for that!!  :tickedoff :tickedoff

We have a bad problem with coyotes killing house pets here. Not just in the suburbs but even inside the Atlanta city limits. There are areas of Atlanta that were developed back in a time where houses might set on 3 or 4 acres and they would be wooded and well maintained areas. The coyotes have been living in those areas and breeding with dogs and killing them too. Rabies has been confirmed in several instances. Not a good thing.

I was boxing some hardback books the other day and just about tore my back out when I was putting them into storage. 30 years ago that wouldn't have happened! :'( Where did all the time go?? :'( :tickedoff

Yeah on that, bo! I have been building my new deck during weekends. I admit, the deck is kicking my butt but we know how to adapt and overcome, yes?
