Post by: 12 Ring on May 09, 2007, 10:46:30 AM
Well guys I had a bunch move into the house and I'm having trouble getting rid of them I have been trapping but it has not been too effective and I'm not allowed to discharge a gun in city limits and my wife is driving me crazy I need help. And suggestions how to get rid of them.

Like Mad said, get some conibear 110 traps. O0  If you can't shoot them, this would be the cheapest and easiest way.

If you're really interested, I used to do this stuff for a living (nuisance wildlife control).  Send me a PM and I can give you more specific info on what to do / how to do it.  O0

I have tried with failing efforts to trap squirrels with PB.I have yet to have that work. What does work are real nuts warmed up.The 110 idea is a way to go also.

I recommend a .17 savage.  Just turn the Radio up really really loud and the neighbors won't even notice.

Let me get this straight...you are complaining about the squirrels? Sounds like barrels of fun in the making. The best way...especialy if they are near your house and you won't want to turn it to swiss cheese with bullets is make yourself a nice hunting-grade blow-gun. you take 7' of electrical 1/2'' conduit and maybe put a coupler on the end for your mouth diameter. You get either piano(or other high-carbon, bend resistant wire) and sharpen one end to a point. the other end, you attatch a small cone the size of the tubing. I make my cones out of thin clear plasic, supper glued in place. Glue the cone to the wire or 10'' of 1/8 inch dowel with two hoby razor blades at the end(broadhead). load and blow...target practice all day long. 7 feet of pipe supposedly multiplies your power by 1/4 from 5'.  I've shot through 1/4'' of pl;ywood before...and clear through my drywall (broadhead....you don't notice the wire-made holes). hope that helps.
