Post by: Blood_Trail on September 28, 2007, 12:38:29 PM
Hey yall, for sh*ts and giggles, I'm using my buddies' .460 SW for deer in Wi in Nov. Yall think that's a bit much for deer? Or am I  :uglystupid2?

I hate to tell ya Blood, but you level of :uglystupid2 is what makes you unique. O0

By the way, I've noticed NEF sells a Handi Rifle in .500 S&W. O0

Yep, and those NEF's in that cal are even legal in Canada :D

Now if I didn't have a carbine in 44 Rem I could maybe have an excuse

Re 460: Nope, not overkill, look at how much lead or copper the muzleloaders or slug-gunners throw at the poor little bambi

a friend of mine tagged a doe with a .500s&w last year, at 20 yards the slug hit her square in the front shoulder pushed her sideways for a few inches (hoof slide marks) and knocked her down, she jumped right back up and tore off not to be seen again!! with the .460 i think you will have better penitration, and remember it dont matter what you use but where it goes that counts.
