Ha ha, sorry dumb rabbit!  ;D Looks like that slower load just doesn't get it, though.

Montana looks like and must feel like Siberia in the winter. You would like our winters here in SE Iowa.

So, you still looking for a slower load?

6mm rem, 55 gr Ballistic tips, 26" barrel
Well We tried some "Slower" loads, same bullet different powder
"Big game"book speed around 3900 fps, to cold to mess with the Magnospeed.
No wind , for Mt, and -14* , 200 yards, prone in the snow.
First target is test with normal 4200 fps load .

Second is with the slower "Big game" powder.

Then there is a silly rabbit that came to a shooting range.

about 30 yards to the right ,right at the same range.

Your max loads were pretty high chamber pressure, D?
I would guess, no undo Pressure signs but listed at the very top end.

Barnes bullets like to be pushed FAST and need a little JUMP to the lands to preform to there max.
I sight in at 200 yards with everything but the 45/70.

 Barns loads surprised me. I found light bullets in my 8mm shoot lower then the heavier bullet loads. Go figure. But those are factory loads.

My boy called today and he said he has several test rounds worked up.
Weather is a nightmare , but when it lets up a little I'll give them a try.
I have to sight in for the normal 55 BT's first too, still zeroed for my deer /wolf loads .
The Barnes 80's shoot slower and hit lower at 200 yards.
