We got a phone call Monday late afternoon.
Mud buddy , Hi guys, our delivery truck is just pulling in.
If you can pick it up by Wednesday you can have it for Christmas.
We will be closed after that till the 2nd.
Dang.
OK we WILL be there.
Cant get a cashiers check till 9:00 AM Tuesday morning.
At 9:10 we are on the road to Jorden Utah.
Got there about 7:30 pm, got a room and had to wait till 9:00 for them to open, paper work run though checked off all the questions we hit the trail home.
I forgot to mention we had snow and 50 mph wind from Butte MT to Jorden on the trip down.
Coming home was a bit better, no snow but a North wind all the way. That is 3 extra tanks of gas. Parked it at 8:35 pm.
All well worth it. it is sitting in the boys yard. Noww to put on all the cool stuff, maybe get it in the water Sunday. Big smile

Just Jawin At Camp / Merry Christmas GPS
« Last post by bohicajuan on December 24, 2020, 12:03:19 PM »
Well guys tomorrow is Christmas and I thought I'd drop by and say hello and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I think y'all would agree this has not been a good year.Between the news media and the far left politicians I've watched our country being destroyed from within. The election was stolen and given to a globalist that will try his best to raise our taxes. Reduce our freedoms. And disarm us. Both parties are destroying the Republic. All the while the urban centers become war zones.

Police are scared to do their jobs because they know the politicians the police brass, along with the media will lie through their teeth and suppress the truth to push their agenda. Cops died at a higher rate in 2020 than in any time in history. It's open season on cops and it's going to get worse.

I didn't do any hunting this year. I just haven't felt it. A lot of my friends are feeling the same. Although I have enlarged my gun collection by several. But these aren't weapons to hunt 4 legged game or shoot birds with.

I don't believe this Covid crap is a problem. It's being used to scare and turn the people into sheep and simpering cowards. People are either not working or barely making enough to survive. I'm 60 and have asthma but I haven't been sick yet and nobody I personally know has been sick either.

I think 2021 is going to be a rough year and you better be asking yourself how much more you'll take? It won't take much to find excuses to shut places like this down. I'm not a social media kind of guy but I know many that have been banned from some of the better known social media platforms simply because they won't drink the kool aid and speak the truth. The other side wants to destroy free speech and deny us any rights at all. Remember. We're the Deplorables.

I'm ready to get dirty in 2021. I've had enough. I hope I'm wrong. But I don't think I am. And, I don't trust these low life scum any further than I can throw them. Rough times are coming. Be ready.

I hate "UPDATES"
Good to see you back.

Firearms / Stoeger m3500 with a reflex red dot.

This shotgun is going to be set up as a coyote gun and an occasional birder.

The steady grip pistol grip is working great. It and the dead mule have tamed the god awful recoil of my huge 3 1/2" coyote loads. It shoots the steel goose loads of #2X#B shot 1 3/8 1400 fps very good with my Cremator .670 extended choke. 40 yards will put 65% of the shot in a 30" pattern.

I got a Fields reflex red dot and a Benelli shotgun aluminum top rail.

Mounted the dot and went out to see what it does.

I set my coyote target at 60 yards. After a few shots, I seem to have the bulk of the pattern starting at his feet and going over its head.

My lead "F" 22 caliber 3 1/2, 1 5/8 load at 1350 has like 47 pellets.

A piece of printer paper mid mass of my coyote runs like 10 to 15 pellets in it. The backer I shoot is 36x40 and I count over 35 pellets in it each shot, at 60 yards. It was too cold to retry everything at 70 but I'm confident it will be fine. Even hand loading it costs around $2 bucks a shot too.

I did find the dot being at least 1 1/2" above the barrel made a cheek weld imposable.

Today I put in two tapered shims to lift the comb up. I moved it up 3/4 of an inch where I put my cheek, I also moved the stock to shift to the left to put me more in line with my bore.

It feels a LOT better I don't have to search for the dot. I pull it up and it's there. I can leave both eyes open and see the imposed dot, red or green. I actually like the circle and crosshair the best.

Now I just have to try it on a victim.

  O0  :) Wow! What a way to start the year, D! Are you going to have to buy an extra freezer?

We donate well over half of our game. We fill the 3 freezers we have then give them away whole if we can. This year it seems many people are in need and happy to get the meat.

:D We had a very tough year hunting 2020.
Snow, mud, huge winds. But we persevered.

The 4 ( me, son, D-I-L, and granddaughter) of us with a month left of the year to fill in some geese and coyotes.
Six does, four bucks, two elk, 3 swans, and asst ducks and a few geese, 4 or 5 grouse.
In 2021 first part of January we will do a Wyoming coyote hunt for 4 days. We Just got notified My boy and I both were called up for a damage hunt. I cot called for two mule deer does and the boy got called for two either-sex antelope. They're both in the same damage area and same 3-week time frame, we can hunt together and shoot deer and antelope whatever we come across. It is mostly on Private ground with state and Fed land. Only 25 hunters in the 3 weeks we have, Jan 25 to Feb 15th. A very good way to start the year. In the meantime as the wind permits, we will start filling the fur freezer. It kinda sounds like around $100 for a stretched hide.
