Bearded Hen Hunt
« on: May 21, 2009, 05:07:44 PM »
Roaming around the web today, I found a video shot by a KY boy during the spring season this year.  He had a bearded hen come in, so he popped her. O0   But, that's why KY's regs say that "bearded birds" are legal.  The feller was by himself so the video isn't exactly "Outdoor Channel" quality, but it's not too bad.  O0

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.

I had a couple of em back in Okla. One had her bout a 9"er. They all (old farmers) tell me that the hen that grows a beard is over 5 years old and is the best layer and raiser of em all. So I dont shoot em. But it is legal in all three states I hunt too.
