Did you .17 the bucktooth varmint?

I used to groundhog hunt a lot, and also blew up lots of cats while ghog hunting.
Some groundhogs get pretty smart. I remember a few that were hard to kill. One lived in a big den tree and his hole was about 10 feet above the ground. Another one lived under a farmer's car garage. A couple of others lived in dens on high cliff faces. I got all busted up hunting one of those living on a cliff face, fell off the dang cliff and dang near killed myself.  :tickedoff

They don't climb trees as fast as a coon or squirrel, but they climb real good.

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.
