In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.

Just stick with it. O0  One thing's for sure, you can't shoot one if you don't hunt. O0

I'm tired of looking at deer meat! >:(  I left work early today to come home and finish processing this thing up.  Got everything done up except grinding the burger and sealing it into packages.  Figured I'd take a break for a little while and let some of the water drain off of the meat before I started grinding.  I might get done at midnight tonight. >:(

Got done around 12:30 AM this morning.....  I did pretty good this time and only cut myself twice. ;D  Bad thing is that both of the cuts were in the same spot.  The second time was a 'good un'.

Ended up with 13 lbs 10 oz of ground meat. O0  Took the majority of the meat from the shoulders and neck and put it in another bag to go to the processor to have summer sausage and salami made. O0
