In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.

Some family members took some nice deer this year. The whit tail was shot at 123 yards with a 25/06 shooting a 100 gr
(smoken)
The Big Muley was blasted with a 375 at close to 300 yards and a 235 gr barns all copper bullet going a bit over 3000 fps.
