All those HUGE racks remind me of that guy, Larry Benoit up in Maine or Vermont I think. I wonder if he's still around. He'd take big deer like that year in and year out.

ME? I'd settle for ONE that size! :'( :'( :'(
To you gutless cowards and scumbags, who are trying to lie and rewrite history. To those out to commit genocide on the Southern people with your destruction of Confederate monuments and your attacks on Southern heritage and pride. Be happy for now. Because someday when that civil war you wanted starts. I will find you. And I will kill you.

Yeah, I know who you're talking about.  That guy was the wind.  The only way that he would hunt is to track them.  He definitely took some monsters.  Don't know if he's still around, but his legend lives on I know through his kids. O0

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.

 O0 to Larry Benoit.

I read a book about him and his family and their way of hunting.

"Big Bucks the Benoit Way" I think it was called.

It explained in the book how they go about doing it.... straight tracking.

It's alot easier to do up there though.. snow on the ground pretty much all the time I think.

I think it's pretty much the same regs pertaining to getting to hunt on military installations. That's the way it's done where I work.

Those are sure some nice deer, BC! We have a lot of big bucks where I work. The harvest and been rather poor the last couple of years because of poor hunting weather and crop harvest delays.
