Since many more of our members here are getting .17s, I thought I would revive this excellent thread. For folks that don't yet shoot a .17 HMR, the chart will give you a good idea of shooting a .17 HMR. One thing I would like to add is the fact that many folks are concerned with the little .17 pill having such a wind drift. Actually, the little .17 rascal isn't as bad as a .22 concerning windrift, because of the bullet design and ballistics. What has to be remembered is the fact ALL bullets have wind drift. Another point, some rifles are getting higher speeds shooting the same ammo, up around 2700 or so for the 17gr.
