Yeah, ours is still in until Feb. 28th.  O0  I've been trying to get out, but it's snowed every freaking weekend! >:(  Not a good thing when you have to drive 60 miles to hunt.  >:(

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.

Nick needs to be answering this one! :tickedoff :tickedoff :tickedoff :tickedoff :tickedoff

Georgia's season runs from August 15-February 28, limit is 12 per day.

At one time the state was split into a northern zone and a southern zone, but I can't remember when it was or when it changed.

One more reason Nick should be answering this! :tickedoff :tickedoff :tickedoff :tickedoff
To you gutless cowards and scumbags, who are trying to lie and rewrite history. To those out to commit genocide on the Southern people with your destruction of Confederate monuments and your attacks on Southern heritage and pride. Be happy for now. Because someday when that civil war you wanted starts. I will find you. And I will kill you.

I don't remember there being a split season on them.

Got 3 more weekends, and I've got to work this comming one, wanna bet it'll be the prettiest weekend yet weather wise? My drive for sitting in cold weather has dwindled down a good bit at this point, but am going try to at least kill 6 more, that'll put us at 300 for the past 2 seasons.

Back in the mid to late 70's we had 8 different deer zones, that were defined by geographic differences(piedmont, lower coastal plain, ridge and valley, etc)

The squirrel zone was a line (more or less) from La Grange east to south of Fulton county and across to Athens Clarke county.

Don't know when the changed it, but I'm guessing it was in the early 80's.

Not quite closed here, yet. We close Feb 15th. Like BC, every chance I think I might get out the weather turns on me. This is the last week-end for the season and last I heard they were talking snow again Friday into Sat. :tickedoff
Next years season opens May 29 and runs to Feb 15th 2011. They are raiseing the limits from 6/12 to 10/20.
