I killed a turkey last spring with my bow (& blind) although it was a jake.
I plan on holding out for a mature tom this spring with the same gear.
You'll take my life but I'll take yours too You'll fire your musket but I'll run you through

Its gotten easier to do now a days. My first turkey bow kills were without a blind or any fancy tricked out equipment. Matter of fact all my bow kills was withOUT a blind now that I am thinken bout it! I think  5-6 turkey's have fell to my archery expertize.  O0 ;D ;D

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.

Well I got out today and started patterning the shotgun.  That S.O.B. hurts!  I shot it 4 times and said the heck with it.  Didn't quit because of the recoil, but because I'm not happy with the patterns I was getting.  >:(

I bought the gun off of a feller who already had it set up to turkey hunt with.  He used it 1 year and then got a different gun (a Benelli).  The feller had more money than sense.  :idiot2

Anyway, it's got a Remington Turkey Choke in it, but it's spreading more than I care for. >:(  Think I'll go one day this week over to Bass Pro Shops and see if I can pick up a different tube and some different shells to see if they fly any better.
