O0 O0 Thats great.  I use to put in for drawl hunts in Okla. but the times I got in people hunt while your on your draw in the place your draw is for cuz they are locals! So I dont even put in anymore. It is all in who is buddies with who on the ones Ive been on. I hunt public land in Kansas and Missouri when I hunt in those states. Kansas has alot of good walk-in land to hunt in area #2 and #3 and you can get on some privite land as well without having to pay for it still in some area's.
Still killen and grillen!!!

Congrats wheelz!  O0  I ususally don't put in for hunts anywhere.  We be po' around here.   I don't have the cash to go out of state to hunt.  We've got some pretty good Wildlife Management Areas (WMA's) in the state that have quota deer hunts on them, but I don't put in for those either.  My way of thinking is that the WMA hunts are used by quite a few people in the state that don't have access to private ground to hunt and have to rely on the public land.  I've got private land that I hunt, so if I applied and were drawn, I may be knocking someone else out of that slot that doesn't have access to private land.

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.

Way to go! O0 O0 O0

If you get a big 'un, we can recommend a great taxidermist in Oklahoma!
To you gutless cowards and scumbags, who are trying to lie and rewrite history. To those out to commit genocide on the Southern people with your destruction of Confederate monuments and your attacks on Southern heritage and pride. Be happy for now. Because someday when that civil war you wanted starts. I will find you. And I will kill you.

Kingman is a short drive west of Witchita i've never any experience with the deer in that part of the state.   KS is real good state for white tail though.  Especially up here northwest of Kansas City, there's untouchable populations of monster bucks.

I do know out  west of witchita is flat cropland with wide open fields, like huge tornado size fields.   So the deer numbers may not be overly substantial but there's definitely the nutritional requirements for some big bucks out there.

well chalk me up on the list of shallow pocket hunters.  there are some opportunities on rare occasion for disabled hunters through group hunts and this is one called Outdoor Buddies.  and let me tell ya, there aren't too many who will offer their land for hunting big whitetail.  i'm more of the D.I.Y type anyway.  but i will get a guide for elk.  i don't know much about how to hunt 'em and they're not easy to hunt, especially from a chair.

yeah, kingman has some good country.  i was there 2 years ago and saw a monster buck that had one whole beam broken off.  i let him go, but shot at a good buck through some sticks and hit the sticks of course.  can't wait to go back and finish the deal.

i'm in the draws for NM & CO still so we'll see.

How about around Ashland on HWY 6, halfway between Omaha and Lincoln? I used to hunt some birds around there and always saw deer.
