Don't Believe Everything You Hear....
« on: May 24, 2010, 10:14:53 PM »
Planned on hitting the river Saturday, and called Thursday night the Corp of Engineers to see if the dam was going to be open or closed.

The northern part of the state, got a bit of rain last week and I thought they might have the dams open to allow for runoff. After the 20 minute voice mail I got a real person who promised the dam would be closed and the water level would be down.

You guessed it.

Got there about 7am Saturday morning and the water was way up. Too deep to wade with just my chestwaders and the current was too strong to use my belly boat.

I went home, changed, got my model 29 and my super blackhawk and went out and killed some paper.

I just slept in on Sunday and veged out in front of the tube.

Today while coming into work, I crossed the river and......It was down and clear and looked great. So much for believing the gov't.

To you gutless cowards and scumbags, who are trying to lie and rewrite history. To those out to commit genocide on the Southern people with your destruction of Confederate monuments and your attacks on Southern heritage and pride. Be happy for now. Because someday when that civil war you wanted starts. I will find you. And I will kill you.

So much for believing the gov't.

With as much dealing as you've had with the Fed Govt, I would have thought that you would have learned that by now.  :idiot2

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.
