Don't know yet.  The boy is still asleep, so everything is still sitting under the tree.

More than likely, I won't get any neat toys though.   I haven't been very good this year. 8)

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.

My old man had a Norinco for a while. It was one of the most fun rifles I have ever shot, but later learned that you have to be careful with some of them as the parts are forced to fit together by any means necessary.   Have fun with it and be careful.

Myself, I got a Ruger Mark 2 (belonged to my old man and is older than I am), a couple of nice german steel Heinkel knives, and a 25% deposit on my next firearm purchase. I know I've been wanting to get a .17, or even convert my new Mark 2 to a .17 HM2, but it wouldn't be practical for me to do so now. So, I'm getting a shotgun instead. I've been thinking about getting one of those Over & Under Baikals before they stop making them, but in order to maintain versatility (i.e. - get a rifles barrel for deer and such) I'm thinking of going with either a pump or a autoloader, with the autoloader being the obvious preference. Ah well... Need over want, right?

be careful with semi autos because if you shoot it a lot you MUST clean the Piston or you shels will not eject or will eject slowly.

I prefer the pump (less matinence)

Don't you mean air rifle?  Sounds like firekidd has been watching TBS too much!!!

The in-laws got me a camo backpack, camo stool, blue jean and camo jacket, and a shooting bag (for cartriges and stuff to take to the range).  The wife got me a digital camera and a couple of other things.  I would have rather had a gun, but Oh Well.....
