Both, depending on what caliber I am shooting. Back when I used a .22, I found that HP CCI Stingers were best for me.

Now that I use my .17 HMR for squirrel hunting, I use the explosive VMax ammo.

For my pack along .22 Browning pistol, I will be using Stingers or CCI Mini Mags.

I get better accuracy out of round nosed bullets but less crawl offs with HPs so I shoot HPs. I ain't much into the "head shots only" thing, dead squirrel equals more pecans, so if I'm offered a good heart/lung target, that's what I take. If I were into head shots only, then the round nose bullets might be a better choice, as it doesn't matter much what goes through the brain as long as it connects.

It takes patience to break a good hound. Ya gotta be persistent and it helps to be a lil smarter then the dog.

Unless it's a Single-Six.......You're a wuss! :-P
To you gutless cowards and scumbags, who are trying to lie and rewrite history. To those out to commit genocide on the Southern people with your destruction of Confederate monuments and your attacks on Southern heritage and pride. Be happy for now. Because someday when that civil war you wanted starts. I will find you. And I will kill you.

If you hit them anywhere from the shoulder bone to the head it wont matter much.   Well i've had a couple long range instances with a pellet gun where a shoulder shot didnt penetrate enough to kill them quick but they still couldnt run into a hole with a busted shoulder. Accuracy trumps all
