i like to do alot of squirrl huntin but what the best was to trac em?i use to shoot em rite out of my barn but there all gone now and is a 22lr a good enuf gun to do it with?
nothing like being outdoors and being you own boss!!

Oh yeah. Myself I like the 20g. O0 :twisted: We have a malitcia formed against the invasion of the squrril forces here to! O0 Havent had the annuel knad contest yet this year either! >:(

well fuzztsimmers i was wondering if a 22cal lr has enuf nut to hunt squirls with?and from what you said to my other post hard wood trees it the best place to find the tree rats in?

yeah 22lr would be fine. I am using a 22mag this year but that is only because my fox season coincides with squirrel so I figured it can do double duty. Also hardwood is what i find them in. Find some public hunting ground walk around. Stop and look for a little bit every so often and if you see squirrels you a in the right spot.

I use a 22lr toward the end of the season only because the leaves are mostly down then. Until then try using a shotgun. The best way to find them is to just go lookin for the mast like i said before and sit, don't move and wait. Them country tree rats are a lot more shy than there city cuzins and will take off runnin at the first sight or sound of ya.

.22 rifle will work just fine. I used a .22 for many years until I got my .17HMR a few years ago.  :twisted:
