Kewl..ya'll scored.

I got 4 different colored x-mas cactuses from my sweetie. (Love em, so pretty)
and got myself an I.O.U. (lol) for a plinker gun (perhaps .22 lever action).

I guess I got what I wanted though...lol..mostly just wanted to see the look on the rugrats face after opening her presents. Kinda a way to feel not so guilty of all the times I've had to say "No" during the year.

Best thing under the tree for me was my '05 smallgame hunting and fishing permit.May sound insignificant to some but working 70+ hours a week between three different jobs ,opportunities are a bit rare. This is like card -blanche anytime the opportunity presents itself. That to me is worth all the gold in Fort Knox.Like  C.N. says"A bad day huntin is better than a good day at work"

Yep,its the truth! Even if you crack the stock on your custom rifle, smash your $800 leupy, lose your favorite hat, accidentaly burn your tent down with your portable heater, break  the tip of your favorite knife, and almost die from food poisening, its better that your best day at work.Unless you got a raise and found a $100 bill in the office parking lot.Or unless you get paid to write gun reviews for a firearm magazine.
ECCLESIASTES 12:13-14 Now all has been heard;here is the conclusion of the matter:Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.For God will bring every deed into judgement, including every hidden thing, wheather it is good or evil.

Well, I picked up my christmas toy. I shelled out a little over $250 and picked up a Winchester 1300 Defender. I know, I know... It's a combat shotgun but it had too many perks to pass up. One is that it doesn't have a choke on it, which while bad if I go after birds, and I'm not, it also means less shot in my meat. It also has the fiber optic bead, a 8 shell capacity tube, it's got a non-glossed finish helping with glare, and it has an 18 inch barrel allowing me to get into the heavier brush and blow those rats right out of the trees. Haven't been able to use it yet, but will soon, hopefully.

Congratulations on your hunting and almost hunting gifts, folks! My wife and I buy a big Christmas for our 4 kids and 6 grandkids. We wait until just after Christmas to buy for each other. On the 26th, we bought a 52" big screen TV for ourselves. Hunting and fishing shows are great on the big screen! I spend more time in my shop than in front of the TV, so my kids got me shop tools, bless their hearts. there is no such thing as too many tools. Or guns. Or kids! :D

aint kids great? knowing that youll have a hunting buddy and counting the years(my boy is 4) or that that old 30-30 your dad gave you that belonged to your grandpa hasnt seen its last generation of hunters? or how they scrounge camoflage clothing and proudly wear it to daycare? my daughter cassie wore a delta waterfowl camo jacket to school and all the boys thought it was neat.(shes 8)it kinda kicked off a new fashion statement, even amongst the kids whos parents are a bunch of bunny-huggin pillow biters.in my experience, the more kids you have, the more tools you USED TO have.

I can totally follow the saying from travo. My tools are constantly disappearing. And John, there comes a point when there ARE just too many kids. You love them all with all your heart, but you can't wait till the little buttheads grow up, move out, & start their own family so you can sit back and laugh at them when they get frustrated. Personally, I have 7 ranging in ages from 15 down to 6 months. My kids held santa at gunpoint this year, me thinks.
