One of the pictures of one of the smaller bore (8 bore, I think) targets showed a 2 shot group at 100yds as a vertically ragged hole. Sometimes, fast isn't always best. ;)

As for uses, can you imagine taking a deer with something like that. Even if it's traveling at 700-800fps, it would plumb knock it off the ground & I can't imagine the solid slug would do much damage to the surrounding meat. O0

If nothin else, it sure would be a hoot to see people's faces when you pulled that badboy out & fired it. O0

Oh, and the cost of brass alone is $40 PER.

Ya know, the fix for these hunting restrictions in PA is the same as the fix for the hunting restrictions in CA... Move. O0

And whats the purpose behind that.

Somewhere in the dark corners of my memory rests a picture of a fowling piece( punt guns) that was used by commercial hunters when it was legal to do so. Those guns looked like small mini Flak's and fired a lage amount of shot. I'm not sure that this is what the 2 Gauge was about but close to 1/2 pound of payload would bring down a lot of birds.
