A New Jersey man gets seven years for being a responsible gun owner

Sue Aitken called the police because she was worried about her son, Brian. She now lives with the guilt of knowing that her phone call is the reason Brian spent his 27th birthday in a New Jersey prison last month. If the state gets its way, he will be there for the next seven years. Aitken was sentenced in August after he was convicted of felony possession of a handgun. Before his arrest, Aitken, an entrepreneur and owner of a media consulting business, had no criminal record, and it appears he made a good faith effort to comply with New Jersey's stringent gun laws.

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.

Gov Shristie seems like a stand up guy considering he dismissed that left wing anti gun activist Judge.

Second thought.

Update:

N.J. man calling on Christie for clemency in gun-possession case

Brian Aitken, 27, a grad student with no prior criminal record, was sentenced to seven years for having handguns he bought legally in Colorado in the trunk of his car. He is awaiting his appeal and hoping for a "Christmas gift" from Gov. Chris Christie.
