I bet if anyone can cook it good, it's you...  I'm still a little leary though.

Several of my friends and I go to West Virginia the first full week of May every year to trout fish. These are hatchery released fish that have been fed food pellets that resemble dog food. They are not the best tasting of fish, but we have a breading mixture that we use. After soaking the fillets overnight in buttermilk we pat them dry then bread them in a mixture of cornmeal, self rising flour, Old Bay, and Fry Magic, then deep fry them and they are very good

If anyone gets the notion to do it, Greenbo Lake here in KY has a good trout population.  The KDFWR stocks trout in it each year, but the lake is deep enough and is spring fed, so that the water stays cold all year long.  The trout live and thrive there.  When I was stationed there for KY State Parks, I saw some good sized trout pulled out of there quite often.

Greenbo Lake is up in the North Eastern part of the state, where KY, OH, & WV all come together, in Greenup County.

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.
