Way to go Big John! Clean out those nasty tree rats!!

Been fighting a bad cold myself and can't sleep worth a flip.  Maybe if BC sends me that mule I'll be able to ride him to work!! LOL!

I doubt BC will loan the mule because he has probably bonded with it.  ;D If you see a hunter riding a mule in Kentucky, it's probably BC. I bet he named the mule Silver and hollers, "Hi yo Silver"! as they gallop after the squirrels and deer.  ;D

I also heard BC's mule is so smart it even fetches and can clear any fence in the county while BC is mounted on it's back.

That mule is a great tracker and can tree any critter BC wants to hunt. I think BC and Silver should have their own TV show, Just like the old Francis The Talking Mule show. Perhaps Silver can't actually talk, but could be done by special effects.

Any suggestions?

I know for a fact BC and the mule have bonded. BC sent me some 300 game cam photos the other day and that dang mule was in 280 of them. Night time. Day time. Rain. Sleet. Snow. 20 below zero. Every picture is that mule mugging for the camera while getting fat on deer feed and corn!

;D  ;D  ;D Yeah, no doubt! Fatter than a hog in the corn!

True story---- I used to work with a guy that was hunting from horseback. He shot a hole through the horses's ear and got bucked off.

Anyhow, I hear BC's mule also points, trees, and stands stock still for use as a rifle rest. The mule is so smart it teaches BC's dog tricks like roll over, fetch the mail and newspaper, and slippers. The mule is pretty good at Checkers, too. It is rumored that mule can read. That's why BC's newspaper often comes up missing and turns up in the barn and covered with green hay smelling slobbers.

I bet that mule even has its own hunting hat with holes cut for its ears.

I wish that mule was half the incredible animal ya'll make it out to be.  ;D

Actually, the critter is a common trespasser!  And as such, he should be dealt with accordingly!  :knuppel2 :knuppel2   I may have to go up there with a shotgun and see about burning his butt with it.  O0 >:D   Maybe then the freaking thing will stay off our land and quit eating all of the corn and mineral blocks.  :tickedoff

His name is actually Jack, as in "Jackass". ;D   I didn't name him though.  The feller that actually owns him did.

He is quite the traveler though.  ::)   Here's a few pictures.

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.

Here's a couple more from that time I changed the cards in the cameras.

Can't wait until turkey season!  >:D O0

The pictures look like the critter is a donkey. Shoot it or become a prospector and use it for your pack animal.  ;D One of my fishing places ( Lake Havasu) has protected wild donkeys. They are the main course meal for local cougars. We sometimes hear donkeys braying on shore but out of sight while we fish the lake.

A former boss of mine also had a donkey named Jackson, after the reverand. Nuff said there. Turned out they are actually great protection from yotes. He turned Jackson out with his cattle, especially when they were calving. Everytime the yotes would come around eyeing up the young calves, he ran them off. It seems this is a common practice with sheep herders.
