ahem......"black bears have decent eyesight, possibly as good as humans, and recent research has found that they have color vision"-Florida fish and wildlife conservation commision-www.wildflorida.org. and, for the record, i prefer to name wild bears boo-boo,not yogi.

The eyesight of the black bear is relatively poor, but it is well developed with senses of hearing and smell.

Their sense of smell is good, but their hearing and eyesight are only fair.

They have a keen sense of smell, acute hearing, but poor eyesight

one more quick point........when you're talking about wild animals, since when is humans eyesight even considered decent........compared to other wild game our eyesight sucks, so when they say "possibly as good as humans" it would be like saying a cow can swim as fast as a human.........doesn't make em be "good swimmers" now does it.....

the arguement the whole time was colorblindness, look at the posts. show me a credible source that says that bears are colorblind. something as credible as the florida fish and wildlife conservation commision, and i will concede defeat. and smokey says"help prevent forest fires!"

i'll admit bears see some color, if you admit that their sight sucks for a predator.
