North Carolina: Right-to-Carry permits on the rise

Burke County measured a 9 percent increase in the number of people permitted to carry concealed handguns in just the past eight months. The last SBI statistics, which went through June 30, reported there were 2,190 people with valid concealed carry permits in Burke County. According to the latest internal report at the sheriff's office, that number climbed to 2,390 as of Feb. 22.

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.
