My first shotgun was a Springfield 20 gauge pump.  My P.O.S. dad picked it up at a pawn shop for about $50.  It looked really good (not a bit of rust or any scratches) and shot even better!  I've still got the gun and plan on letting The Boy have it.  It was a good gun to "cut my teeth" on.  Didn't pay a whole lot for it, so if I got dinged up, no biggie.

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.

I am looking for a 20 gauge pump gun. Synthetic or Wood Stock. Doesn't matter. Used or New. I am really wanting one.

look in your local pawn shops ,i find used mossbergs from 125.oo to 175.00 all the time and rem.870s about the same .i recently picked up a 870 pump combo gun (with slug barrle in 12 ga.)like new in the box for 185.00 plus tax  ;D
and a mossberg .410 pump for 150.00 like new ;D if your pockets are shallow look in the used gun racks  :)
