WOW now this is a Burbot !

I fish burbot a lot. It's always a brutal game, At night, No moon, in the winter , windy cold, nasty, but I love it. I guess even a blind squirrel finds nuts. I caught my biggest ling ever today at 11:00 in full sun light, on a jug with a garlic minnow. NOTHEN what I would do for a ling fishing trip. We put it back and plan a proper ling trip very soon . It was over three feet long and was HEAVEY!!! Maybe in this spot there all pigs, I will let you know soon...

Nice catch D. That looks like a bowfin to me. I wonder if they're related? Bowfins are nasty and you can't really eat them, but you hook a 10 pounder and its like you're fighting a 100 pound tarpon!
