Nix the H&R. Word is they pulled the plug on the company. Sad to say, I really hoped to get a Buffalo Classic one day.

Where'd you hear that Mo? I can't find anything on the internet that says they went out of business, and their website is still up and doesn't say anything either.
To you gutless cowards and scumbags, who are trying to lie and rewrite history. To those out to commit genocide on the Southern people with your destruction of Confederate monuments and your attacks on Southern heritage and pride. Be happy for now. Because someday when that civil war you wanted starts. I will find you. And I will kill you.

Still looking around for more confirmation. It could just be jumping to conclusions because Remington is closing the Ilion plant where they are made. It's no secret Remington is pulling all their operations out of New York state due to recent legislation being hostile to firearms production and ownership.

A lot of companies are doing that.  O0   Any state that passed legislation affecting guns/gun owners negatively, the firearms and accessory companies are bailing and going to friendlier states.  O0 :)

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.

Now I hear Remington is staying because they were offered incentives and accepted them.
