Gota do it twice a year
« on: August 26, 2018, 11:29:29 AM »
Twice a year I have to re zero the 6.
Spring I switch to my varmint load. 55gr Nosler ballistic tip

4200 fps.

Fall I switch to my deer/antelope load. 80 gr tts Barnes,

3600 fps.

At 200 yards the 80's are about 6" lower then the 55's

and an inch to the left.

The grass was long out where I shoot and I could only come up

with a 220 yard shooting lane this year.

I normally use 200 , it will be ok I'm sure an extra 20 yards is workable .

About an 8 mile an hour north east breeze, I was shooting as close to straight in to it as I could.

I like to sight in the way I shoot some guns/loads shoot different off a bench or bags.

I had my bipods on and was sitting on my coyote belt pad, 2" of hard foam.

Took a few more shots to get on to the paper then normal for what ever reason.

Got it on then dialed it in.

Then a few conformation shots and I was happy .

There not bench shots but for real hunting shooting they should work just fine. We finally got some antelope tags, only took 5 year and 5 point to do it.

I have not used the 6 on antelope but expect excellent results as normal. It seams like anything I point the 6 at falls over dead...
