O0 I hope you have good luck, D!

Our hunting season opened yesterday for rabbits and squirrels.

We are having a fish fry today at our daughter's cabin on the river. I am hunting tomorrow, squirrel hunting, of course.

Dang, D!  :-\ I hoped you spotted some, at least. I didn't go, was too warm and I didn't see my homey squirrels out and about. We both got bummed!

Are you hunting this week?

O0 Sounds good, D! You are hunting both this year? And is that why you are considering a bigger rifle?

I "hunt" both every year. Hunting is easy it's the "Getting" part that's hard.
No I have plenty of rifle , I just want another one

Yeah, I figured you aren't under gunned, D! There is always another rifle we want.

Have you been seeing some bear and wolves? And how has your varmint population doing?

I hope your fishing has been better than mine.

I'm always so busy with the yard and boat I never get out to scout.
Bear are 100 miles away, wolf are 300ish. SO when I do go it's hit or miss, mostly miss...
Prairie dog are at n all-time high in my areas I go. Coyotes seam to be kinda low for what ever reason, my be I killed them all???
Bird hunting looks rough this year, we had a bad spring, wet and cold.
We all got antelope tags this year but no crane tags. If we get the antelope out of the way opening week I have a Predator/coyote hunt in the works the next week.
Then we have a youth deer season , the LITTLE granddaughter is hunting this year.
See no time to scout.

Yeah, I can sure understand you having no time to scout, and the long drives to just get there to hunt. So much open space!

I used to take a western hunting and fishing vacation every year and that didn't allow any time for scouting. It was just go to the old hunting and fishing places and hope for the best. That was Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah, and Idaho. Other states out there were quicker trips when I lived in CA.

MN was good bear hunting, lots of bears. MN was mostly bow hunting.
