what do you take in the woods?

i always take a sandwich or two,a coke bottle i use as a canteen(ok,,,i'm cheap)
a lighter,string, compass, knife and an emergency firestarter kit,(flint and steel,with charcloth and a piece of hemprope) a first aid kit a candy bar and a couple bags of peanuts,and a folding saw.and a garbage bag.this all fits in my fannypack,,,,no my fanny isn't that big smarty.

What about your weapon and extra ammo/arrows? LOL John...

Here is a list of what I carry:

My pellet gun
xtra pellets
Sandwich
Snacks in ziploc bags to eliminate as much noise as possible
knife
razor blade for skinning...

Thats about it... The areas I hunt, I know the land, so I ain't gonna get lost...

You can ALWAYS get lost.I was hunting the same land for 2 years,and it got dark,and well...I got lost.NO FLASHLIGHT,or compass.

oh yeah,i also always carry my cell phone,and if others are around a frs radio.
a razor blade huh? those things are sharp.
also poeple have been known to fall and get injured in the woods.
a1/4mile crawl with a broken leg is a class"A"s.o.b.
a mile,and you can end up coyote food.
please always take some kind of first aid ,and a way to get found.light a fire ,make a phone call,blast on a whistle....something

john said it.. I have taken people to the hospital that fell in their back yard, and it took them 2 hours to crawl to the fron so a passing motorist would see them.....  now imagine if you were in the woods...
a country boy can survive!

okay now to answer the question...

rifle, bow or pistol...
ammo for above
2 knives.
emergency blanket
first aid kit...  (actually I probably go overboard here.... )
trioxane fuel bars
magnesium fire starter...
lighter or two
water and wind proof matches...
550 para cord 
water
food
cell phone
gps
camera
all in a back pack

oh and assorted cover scents ect for the season that I'm in...

 
and if I can a friend....

P.s  I know I'm forgetting something....
a country boy can survive!

I usually take a shotgun or 22lr., or usually may trusty ol' bleeper (my gamo pellet gun)
The ni grab alot of food and water or liquid beverage. Extra ammo for whatever i'm using. My Gerber skinning/ cleaning knife. A bag, and my good ol GPS (global positioning system) just incase. Plus maybe a flashlight or tent if i'm daring
