a real cherry turkey
« on: April 19, 2005, 11:35:32 PM »
It dont get much easier or better tasting than this.
 ingredients are as follows.
 around 1 pint cherry brandy,
1 cup brown sugar,
Cubed turkey meat,
 half slices of bacon.
wrap turkey in bacon and pin in place with toothpicks.
pour brandy and brown sugar in a bowl large enough to hold all turkey cubes.
heat it just enough to melt the sugar.
Add turkey cubes and let marinate.
when you cant stand it anymore put it on the grill. I cook mine in a bowl made from aluminum foil with the brandy, sugar and turkey in it. after the meat is cooked throughly remove from bowl to direct heat from grill. this will make the bacon a little crisp. you can also drizzle the brandy sauce over it to caramelize some more.
Remove from grill and stand guard over the plate, or there wont be any left for you.     Enjoy!!!!
