New Jersey Legislator Withdraws Bill To Ban Muzzleloaders
« on: January 24, 2004, 12:33:14 PM »
TRENTON, NJ—New Jersey Democratic Assemblywoman Loretta Weinberg had recently introduced a bill to ban .50 caliber or larger muzzleloaders in the state as "an anti-terrorism measure." Weinberg recently pulled the bill after being contacted by a number of concerned New Jersey sportsmen.

The U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance (USSA), however, says although the bill was pulled from the legislative agenda, it can be reintroduced during the current legislative session, which began this month.

Sportsmen should continue contacting their assemblymen to encourage them to vote against any such legislation. To find the name of your assembly member and for contact information, use the Legislative Action Center on the USSA Web site at www.ussportsmen.org, or call (800) 792-8630.

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.
