Michigan Sportsmen Disappointed at Cancellation of Dove Hearing

Without explanation, a Senate committee chairman cancelled a scheduled hearing and vote for Michiganís dove hunting bill.

House Bill 5029, the bill to make Michigan the 40th state to hunt doves, was scheduled to be heard by the Senate Appropriations Committee on February 5 in Lansing.  Committee Chairwoman Sen. Shirley Johnson, R-Troy, abruptly cancelled the hearing on Wednesday.
