Pop Ups
« on: August 18, 2003, 12:47:15 PM »
Anybody else use pop ups for ground hunting?  If you haven't, I can tell you they are great.  Especially if you have kids that want to hunt with you.  Some of the more expensive styles even incorporate scent blocking.  Pretty nice. :D

Dang! I wish I had something like that when I was taking my 4 kids squirrel hunting!  It was like taking a herd of buffalo, and them waving flags at the same time! "Over here! Over here! We are all over here, squirrels!" Nope, not much shooting, just a lot of hunting!

they are great for places where the trees are not big enough for a climber, especially now that they have the shoot through mesh. It has no effects on arrows I can tell ya that.

We have a pop-up blind, but it only fits one person. I build all of the blinds that I use for squirrel season. I cut down some shrubs and stuff like that and build my blinds in the spring. I maintain them during the summer and all year round. Unless the spot is not productive w/ chipmunks, squirrels and stuff like that. ;)
