Washington Cougar Bill Passes Senate
« on: March 07, 2004, 07:43:35 AM »
SPOKANE, WAA bill to allow limited mountain lion hunting in Washington state has passed the state Senate.

Senate Bill 6118 (SB 6118) calls for a 3-year program to investigate the effectiveness of hunting with hounds to control Washington's mountain lion population. It provides funding for a study by Washington State University to determine the hunt's effectiveness. The bill, introduced by Sen. Bob Morton (R-WA), now awaits action in the state House Committee on Fisheries, Ecology and Parks.

Washington sportsmen should call their representatives and ask them to support SB 6118. To find your representative and for contact information, call (360) 753-5000 or use the "Legislative Action Center" on the U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance Web site,

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.
