Ok peoples... I'll try to contribute to the turkey as well, and we can probably have a vote to see which way is easiest for the future, and I'm planning on doing some yote, coon, & possum hunting, so if you trappers would be so kind as to show us your procedures for skinning a furbearer without ruining any of the fur, I, for one, would appreciate it.

One last note, if people are really serious about the whole cat thing, I have a ton of strays that live around my house and I wouldn't feel bad at all if one or more of them disappeared. Mostly cause I'm having suspicions that one of them has been hunting MY cat (he's showed up twice with bad gouges at the base of his tail), and I haven't seen him in a week. And around the time he disappeared, I coulda SWORE I heard a brief catfight. So, if'n ya'll're serious, I might "find" a dead cat round the house in the near future and could take some pictures. ^-^

hey sniper,... this guy told me of a good use for cats, though I havent tried it...(in case its against the law) but yea take a cat out in the woods where you think there are some 'yotes, and tie it to a tree. you climb in your stand and just wait. the crying and meowing of the cat will bring in all kinds of preditors, I think it must work best if the cat is in heat. just a suggestion, and I would never do it *smirking* but yea might just as well leave the cat tied up there and put foot traps all around the tree for the nocturnal predators or just leave it their with no traps if you want to get rid of the cat. cruel to some; food to others...
your mission if you choose to accept it, is to go through the boiler maker to get to the Gut Pile Style

I know of some local fellas here that use cats for 'yote bait. They claim it's the best thing to attract coyotes there is.  O0
