My squirrel recipe
« on: December 30, 2005, 09:33:16 AM »
Put 4 cleaned squirrels in pressure cooker  with 4 cups water.
Cook for 30 minutes.
Pick meat from bones and return to stock in cooker.
Add cut up potatoes, one can of butterbeans, one can of diced tomatoes, one drained can of whole corn.
Simmer at low heat for one hour.
Salt and pepper to your taste.
Add one stick of butter. NO MARGARINE REAL BUTTER ONLY!
Bring to boil.
About a dozen home made biscuits on the side, again with BUTTER. Raspberry preserves on biscuits optional.
Try not to bite your fingers off.
Havin' fun at the expense of others!

Sounds pretty good!  I'll have to try it with the next batch of squirrels I get.
The only purpose of bread is to hold meat!

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.

That is a nice simple recipe and sounds quite tasty.  I will say, that younger squirrel are the ones for frying and the older squirrels are the ones for stewing.

Eitherway, I am gonna have to give your recipe a try.  O0
I have long know that it is part of God's plan for me to spend a little time with each of the most stupid people on earth.

I see you're playing stupid again...  looks like you're winning too.

....Hey,Let me tell you "Meat Hunter" is a game cook par-excellence! I've eaten some of his fare, and he could cook up a deer's hoof and have it taste like backstrap..I MIGHT be exagerating a bit for emphasis..But he CAN cook.

I usually cook squirrel whole in a square cake pan with seasoning and hot sauce and eat them like chicken wings which grosses out the step-daughter as I spit out b-b's but I guess I'll have to stew some up, she doesnt eat anything but venison since she bit a b-b while eating some wild turkey... oh well more for me...
your mission if you choose to accept it, is to go through the boiler maker to get to the Gut Pile Style
