Check out my Squirrel stew recipe. You'll not be unhappy if you make a pot.

I've yet to go squirrel hunting.  I don't know how to clean one unfortunately.  So i was wondering how you all clean and butcher a squirrel.  So me and my also new to squirrel hunting pal don't say,  "We shot it what do we do now."

Cut off the tail at the base, head, paws, etc. Then, make a cut from left to right [or, if you prefer right to left] across the skin in the middle of the back, but not into the meat. Pull the skin off; then gut, trim the glands at the base of hte tail off [if a male]; wash adn yo're done.

The 'cut at the base of the tail and pull' method I'e never gotten the hang of. I've also never tried the dunk the squirrel inwater, either.
