Arrow Flight Calculations...
« on: September 18, 2006, 03:48:33 PM »
When shooting up a steep hill or down at a steep angle from a treestand, the impact point of your arrow will change, higher or lower.  I know the proper thing to do is shoot from different heights and angles, both upward and downward, but there is no way to take every situation into account.  There has to be a chart or rough calaculation out there to aid in making a decision when taking a shot.

So, does anyone have a calculation or chart of averages that will show roughly what pin to use based on a particular height or angle?

Morax, speaking of archery hunting, after all was said and done, I now have a total of Five (5) tree stands in my garage; one is a ladder stand.  So, my question is, do you want the one you gave me back?  Jake didn't like it compared to another one I found him.  He likes the overly simple, really  heavy one I bought at a yard sale for $10.00 the most, go figure.

That's one option. O0

Tonia also has a contact who's husband bow hunts and is looking for a cheap climbing tree stand, and I have two I need to part withP: yours and another.  So, I could sell it, if he's interested, and we could split the money?
