PETA Rolls Out New Anti-Meat Campaign
« on: May 14, 2004, 08:06:25 PM »
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has targeted a group of celebrity gentlemen as the “Flab Five,” and has kicked off its most recent anti-meat effort.

Playing on the success of the Bravo! program “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,” PETA has launched its offensive “Veg Eye for the Fat Guy” campaign.  Some of the targeted stars include Ruben Studdard (American Idol star), Luciano Pavarotti (opera singer), John Goodman (actor) and John Madden (sports caster) for the promotion.  They are to receive vegetarian starter kits and the PETA Celebrity Cookbook.  PETA believes it is doing the men a favor, claiming that meat and dairy products can cause weight gain and medical problems.

PETA said that if Studdard, known to American Idol fans as "The Velvet Teddy Bear," doesn’t want to become known as "The Velveeta Teddy Bear," he should reduce his meat and dairy intake.  It called Pavarotti “Three tenors rolled into one!” and said Goodman “looks like he’s been indulging in a few too many buffalo wings.”
The only purpose of bread is to hold meat!

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.
