I've only made it out once this year, and did allright, but i'm still chasing that eluvise buck, and he's taking up all of my time.

-so, i'll have to live this year's season through everyone else, --so how have you been doing?

No water fowl this year.  I did alot of grouse hunting but always forgot the camera.  I been busy with the new puppy.  She's retreived about a half a dozen live birds and a bunch of dead ones. Here's my son showing the dog how to retrieve.

SRick, it looks like you are getting off to a roaring start on the hunting!  O0 Our duck hunters here did good opening day Saturday, but things cooled for the rest of the week.

No red hair here.  His dad had red hair as a kid but it changed to brown.  His is really red on top and really blonde underneath.  I went out yesterday and got 4 more birds.  I just love grouse hunting.  One was flopping around and the puppy ran up to it and started jumping up and down on it.  When it finally stop flopping the puppy just looked at it for awhile and picked it up and brought it to me.  I think she really liked jumping on it.

Rice river, that is really neat!  About ducks, we have some new ducks down, and we are expecting a new flight in maybe tonight. Our woodys seemed to have moved out because it has turned pretty cold, the usual. We seem to have a lot of pintails here, too.  Our potholes are mostly dry, so the river hunters are getting most of the action. Goose kills are really slow compared to last year.
