Update: Florida Governor Signs Gun Bills
« on: May 22, 2004, 10:10:48 PM »
TALLAHASSEE, FL--Florida Gov. Jeb Bush signed two gun-rights bills, Senate Bill 1156 (SB 1156) and House Bill 155 (HB 155), into law last week.
SB 1156 prohibits lawsuits against state firearms ranges provided those ranges make efforts to exercise sound management principles in the disposal of lead ammunition. Prior to its passage, shooting range facilities in Florida had no protection against environmental lawsuits.
SB 1156 also requires the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to provide copies of the Nationals Shooting Sports Foundation's "Best Practices for Environmental Stewardship for Florida Shooting Ranges" manual to range managers statewide to keep their operations on a sound, environmentally friendly path.
The other bill signed by Bush, HB 155, stops the state from compiling computerized lists of firearms owners and the guns they own.

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.
