I've hunted bunnies with my 12ga for years and you just can't avoid having some pellets go into the gut. I've eaten rabbits that were pretty bad internally. I just made sure to clean em up quickly and cut away anything the looked iffy. Had me some fried rabbit with rabbit gravy and fressh mashed tatters just the other day... mmmm-boy!

OK I heard that there was some kind of poison or bile bag? And if there was poop all inside that it is poison and will spoil the meat...So many wives tales i guess

Nothing that is inside the critter will ruin it, just clean it up real good and fry it up, nothing to worry about.

The only bad thing about a gut shot animal, the smell definitely will put you off at first but It sure wont harm you if you cook it properly.
