good hunting/rimfire magazines
« on: March 25, 2004, 01:07:26 PM »
I am looking for a magazine that is entirely devoted to rimfires and or small game hunting.  I know of one called Rimfire magazine.(imagine that) but I can't find an actual magazine or an address of where to order a subscription.

does anyone have any info, or any recommendations of magazines that they recieve???

I would also be inteested in any good books on same subjects.

SS, If I find out about any, I'll let you know, I have some good books, but they tell you the basics about hunting and that is about it... the rest we have to learn on our own.

Well, I did a search for "rimfire magazine".  Up came this juicy tid-bit!

Guess that rules this magazine out!

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.

B.C. I can see what you mean...  Maybe I'll save my money untill I find something else....

One of my friends has an older magazine that is titled "rimfire magazine" and it was a very good magazine... it had articles on a lot of things...  I think the date on it was late 80's...  I have found some references on the net about it... but I can't seem to find out how to subscribe anywhere....
guess I'll have to track down that mag, and look it up.

The one in the thread that the guy was talking about was Rimfire & Airgun Magazine.  I don't know if it's the same one you saw back in the '80's (may have changed names), but I'd stay away from this one!
