I fed the dogs purina one lamb and rice with yougart.  I'm looking for something simaliar but cheaper.  It's almost $30 a bag and they go through about 3 bags a month. Plus table scraps and the little guy feeds them everything.  They both love oranges.

I used to know a family near Creston, Iowa that had a pet coyote in a large fenced pen. They fed him deer they shot for him. In the winter they would toss a deer in his pen, and when he had that one cleaned up, they would shoot and toss in another one. The coyote was healthy, lean, and real friendly.

I feed the purina one high performance.  My dogs do great on it and keep their weight well even when being worked hard.

It takes patience to break a good hound. Ya gotta be persistent and it helps to be a lil smarter then the dog.
